1. 5S
It is a five-step lean manufacturing and organization methodology used to ensure productivity, order, safety, and continuous improvement in workplaces .

The main benefits of the 5S methodology are as follows:

Time Saving: By eliminating unnecessary items and organizing everything that remains in a standard place, the time spent searching for a desired item is eliminated.

Workplace Safety: Since clutter and unnecessary waste are cleaned up, workplace accidents that could result from tripping, falling, or incorrect equipment use are largely prevented.

Increased Productivity & Reduced Waste: Resources are used most efficiently by preventing waste such as unnecessary movement, overproduction, and waiting.

Early Detection of Problems: In clean and organized work environments, leaks, malfunctions, or faulty products can be detected much earlier and addressed quickly.

High Employee Motivation: In a regular, spacious, and safe environment, employees experience reduced stress levels and increased satisfaction and motivation.

2. Value Stream Mapping (VSM)

It is a technique that visualizes all the steps a product goes through from raw materials to reaching the customer. It helps identify wasteful and non-value-adding stages in the process.

3. Just-in-Time Production (JIT)

It is a system that aims to produce parts and products only when needed, in the required quantity, and with the required quality. It eliminates high inventory costs and warehouse space.

 

4. Kanban

It is a control system that visualizes material and production flow and operates on the "pull" principle. It prevents overproduction and optimizes inventory.

 

5. Kaizen (Continuous Improvement)

It is a philosophy of making small, continuous, and cost-effective improvements at every stage of processes with the participation of all employees.

 

6. Poka-Yoke (Error Prevention)

This involves taking mechanical or systemic measures to prevent operators or machines from making mistakes (e.g., symmetrical parts that cannot be installed in the wrong direction).

 

7. SMED (Shortened Mold Changeover Time)

It is a set of techniques aimed at reducing machine and mold changeover times to under 10 minutes (single-minute). It increases flexibility in production.

 

8. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

This is an approach that involves operators in maintenance processes to ensure machines operate at peak capacity and without breakdowns.
